Basic Pizza Dough Recipe

Use this recipe as the base for many good times. Make pizza, bread sticks, or even bread!

 

Ingredients:

1 ½ c Luke warm water

1 tsp Sugar

2 tsp Yeast

4 c All Purpose Flour

1 ½ tsp Salt

¼ c Olive Oil

Mix the water, sugar and yeast together and allow to stand for a few minutes. Then mix all the ingredients together and knead for about 10 minutes. Divide dough in 4 pieces. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until double in size. 

Stretch dough into pizza shape, do not use a rolling pin.

Add toppings.

Bake in a very hot oven of 450°F or higher for 15 minutes.

Try to always stretch the dough and not to use a rolling pin. The rolling pin takes the air out of the base.

 

Pizza base sauce:

1 c Tomato sauce

1 tsp Oregano

1 Tbsp Olive Oil
